Meet The Doctors

Dr. Gerald Weaver

Dr. Gerald Weaver obtained his Bachelor of Science and his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Florida. He then completed his pediatric dental residency at the Children’s Medical Center of Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Weaver takes frequent continuing education courses in pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

Outside of the office, Dr. Weaver and his wife have been a part of the First Coast community since 1981. They have three sons, six grandchildren, and three dogs. In his spare time, he loves spending time with his grandkids, playing golf, fishing, reading, or following Florida Gator sports and the Tampa Bay Rays!

Dr. Michael Stratton

Dr. Michael Stratton obtained his undergraduate degree at Transylvania University and his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) at the University of Kentucky. He then completed his pediatric dental residency at the Children’s Medical Center of Dayton, Ohio. He attends numerous courses and seminars throughout each year in order to keep up with current methods and technologies.

Outside of the office, Dr. Stratton and his wife live in Orange Park with their two children. They are grateful for having such a wonderful community in which to raise their children. He has been a member of Orange Park Presbyterian Church since 1986, and is currently an elder there. In his spare time, Dr. Stratton enjoys playing golf and tinkering around the house with his tools. He loves the University of Kentucky sports, especially their basketball team. He has been a Jacksonville Jaguars season ticket holder since 1995, when the team began.

Dr. Robert Weaver

Dr. Robert Weaver is originally from Orange Park, Florida, where he attended St. Johns Country Day School from kindergarten through 12th grade. He then graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. He continued his education at the University of Florida College of Dentistry where he earned his DMD. He completed his two-year pediatric dental residency at the University of Florida, where he served as Chief Resident in his final year. Dr. Weaver is board certified in pediatric dentistry and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

Outside of the office, Dr. Weaver, his wife, and his two sons now call the Julington Creek area home. In his spare time, he enjoys running with his dogs, fishing, playing basketball and golf, and watching Florida Gator football and basketball.

Dr. Patrick Weaver

He graduated from Samford University as salutatorian with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He continued to the University of Florida, where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD). While in dental school, he was presented with the senior dental student award from the Florida Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and was inducted into the honor society of Omicron Kappa Upsilon. He then completed a two-year residency at the University of Florida, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Weaver is board certified in pediatric dentistry as well as a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is also affiliated with the Jacksonville Cleft and Craniofacial Clinic.

Outside of the office, Dr. Weaver, his wife, and their two children now call St. Johns County their home. He is a big Florida Gator fan and enjoys playing golf, running, and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Aylin Mazzuoccolo

Dr. Aylin Mazzuoccolo was born in Izmir, Turkey, but moved to the great city of Jacksonville soon thereafter and was raised in the Mandarin area. After graduating from Stanton College Preparatory in 2004, she attended the University of Florida, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition. She continued her education at the University of Florida College of Dentistry, where she earned her DMD. In her senior year of dental school, she was selected into the Advanced Education Honors Program for Orthodontics.

Throughout dental school, she stayed active with leadership positions, mission trips to Ecuador, and volunteering in the community. After dental school, she continued her training in the three-year orthodontic residency program at the University of Florida, where she was Chief Resident in her final year. She earned a specialty certificate in orthodontics, as well as a Master of Science in Dental Sciences.

Outside of the office, Dr. Mazzuoccolo is married to her wonderful husband, John, whom she met in dental school. They enjoy spending time with family and friends, exercising, traveling, walking their Boston Terrier, Griffin, and, of course, cheering on their beloved Florida Gators.

Dr. Anna Sipe

Dr. Anna Sipe was born and raised in Lewisville, NC. She attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington for her undergraduate studies. She then received her dental training at the University of North Carolina and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). Following dental school, Dr. Sipe completed a two-year academic and hospital-based residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Sipe moved to Jacksonville in 2014 with her husband and son. Dr. Sipe is very excited to be a part of the Weaver and Stratton family, and strives to provide her young patients with positive dental habits and good oral health that will last a lifetime.

Outside of the office, Dr. Sipe enjoys spending time outdoors, going to the beach, spending time with her family and friends and playing tennis!

Dr. Noah Andone

Dr. Noah Andone grew up right here in Fleming Island, Florida. After high school, Dr. Noah moved to Gainesville where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Florida graduating cum laude in 2015. Following college, he moved to New York City and attended the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS). After dental school, Dr. Noah completed his specialty training at a combined program with Columbia University and Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital/New York-Presbyterian Kids. The children’s hospital is #1 in New York and #4 in the nation! Dr. Noah is thrilled to be providing care for the infants, children, and teenagers in the same community in which he was raised.

Outside of the office, Dr. Noah enjoys spending time with his wife Rory and his dog Bruce (named after his favorite superhero, aka BATMAN). Dr. Noah and his wife are huge Florida Gator fans and, of course, love the Jacksonville Jaguars. In his spare time, you can find him surfing, playing soccer, fishing, cooking, or planning the next family camping trip! Dr. Noah and his wife love the National Parks and have a lifelong goal to visit them all—currently, they’ve been to 22 out of 63!

Dr. Dena Mizrahi

Dr. Dena Mizrahi was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. She attended Washington University in St. Louis, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with a minor in Hebrew. Dr. Dena received her DMD from the University of Florida College of Dentistry and her certificate in pediatric dentistry from Montefiore Medical Center in New York.

Throughout dental school, Dr. Dena stayed active with several leadership positions, receiving many awards including the Dean’s List, Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society, the Clinical Excellence and Professionalism Award, and the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology Professional Recognition Award. In 2015, she was awarded the James R. Roche Award of Excellence for attaining the highest score on the Qualifying Examination for the year.

Outside of the office, some of Dr. Dena’s favorite things to do are baking, cooking, drawing and spending time with her husband, Michael, and family. A fun fact about Dr. Dena is that she has a diploma in Pastry and Baking Arts from the Institute of Culinary Education in NYC! She lived in NYC for almost 10 years, and is very excited to be home in Florida!

Dr. Kathie Kapernaros

Dr. Kathie Kapernaros was born in Ohio but moved around a lot before settling in southern Indiana. After graduating with her Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Dance from Purdue University, she continued her education at the University of Florida, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. While attending, she was a tutor, a teacher’s assistant, and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. 

Throughout dental school, she stayed active with various leadership roles, humanitarian trips, and volunteering in the community. After dental school, she continued her training in the three-year Orthodontic Residency Program at the University of Florida. She is an active member of the following organizations:

  • American Association of Orthodontics 
  • Southern Association of Orthodontists 
  • Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society, Xi Omicron Chapter

Dr. Kathie says one of her favorite parts of orthodontics is creating lasting relationships with patients and their families. She considers it a joy and privilege to share patients’ exciting achievements while working on their smile transformation.

She is married to “the best guy,” Phil, and she does not have any kiddos just yet. She is a Boilermaker at heart – Boiler Up! But the Florida Gators trump the Noles for sure! She loves anything outdoors, the opportunity to travel, and spending time with her friends and family!

Meet Our Pediatric Anesthesiologists

Dr. Kathryn Bietenholz

Dr. Kathryn Bietenholz is a pediatric anesthesiologist – a medical doctor who has completed specialty training in anesthesiology and extra training in anesthesia for infants and children. She received her medical degree in 2006 and completed a one-year surgical internship at the Mayo Clinic in 2007. She completed a three-year residency in anesthesia at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville in 2010 with extra training in pediatric anesthesia at The Nemours Children’s Clinic.

Dr. Brooke Maryak

Dr. Maryak received her medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, GA in 2009. She completed her internship and residency in anesthesiology at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL in 2013 where she served as chief resident. Dr. Maryak was certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in 2014 and completed her Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship at Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, FL in 2015.

Dr. Maryak lives in Jacksonville, FL with her husband and two beautiful daughters.
